What is Stop The Clock Game?

Stop The Clock is a fun and engaging reaction time game that challenges you to stop a timer at a specific target time. It's designed to test your timing precision and compare your reaction time to various animals and the average human.

How Does It Work?

The game will generate a random target time between 1 and 3 seconds. Your goal is to click the STOP button as close to that target time as possible. After each attempt, we'll show you how your reaction time compares to animals ranging from quick flies to slow sloths, as well as different types of humans.

The closer you are to the target time, the better your score!

Reaction Time Facts

  • Flies (40ms): Have the fastest reaction times in the animal kingdom due to specialized neurons.

  • Dogs (150ms): Have good reaction times, especially breeds trained for agility.
  • Athletes (170ms): Professional athletes typically have faster reaction times than average.
  • Average Humans (250ms): Most people react within a quarter of a second.
  • Elderly (350ms): Reaction time naturally slows with age.
  • Sloths (1000ms): As their name suggests, they're not known for speed!
